We shopped all over Kauai for my daughter’s wedding cake. After seeing Alfred’s work at a friends wedding and on Facebook, we contacted him. He responded quickly and answered all our questions. He was so easy to work with, he has numerous flavors to choose from and worked with my daughter to get her dream wedding cake, a 2 tiered square chocolate cake with chocolate orange cream filling. He delivered it to the venue and set everything up beautifully. The cake was delicious, I really mean DELICIOUS, and was completely devoured at the reception. We had so many compliments on how yummy it was. His prices are very reasonable too!

Sugar Skull was a fast and easy way to get a cake! And for a really good price. The owner and operator of the company Alfred Herrera got everything on point! I ordered a cake for my parents 22 anniversary and asked for a 5 tired cake and he delivered!  I asked for there to be plumerias and this nice sparkling white shimmer to it. I highly recommend going to him for a cake rather it be for a party anniversary wedding or birthday! I must say when it comes to the best cakes on kaua’i Sugar Skull comes at the number one on the list! Mahalo Sugar Skull I will be calling you soon for grad parties in the future!

I hired Alfred to do our 3-tier wedding cake and is very happy we did. The quality cake we had was for a great price, he included a cake stand for us to use and delivered on site at our reception. He was very easy to work with, always prompt in meeting us and always quick to reply to any questions we had.

I had an idea and a photo I found online on how we wanted our cake to be and he met our expectations real well. Our wedding cake wasn’t only what I pictured it to be but also very delicious. We had the strawberries and cream cake and enjoyed it very much. From the detailing that was put into our cake, to the moist texture and taste, it was everything we wanted and more!

My husband and I would definitely recommend Alfred of sugar skull!

Alfred was recommended to us through our caterer, Yonemura Sushi, and did an amazing job with the desserts for our wedding reception. My husband and I had no interest in a cake, so Alfred recommended an assortment of fruit tarts which we loved. He was very easy to work with to set everything up, and then on the day of the wedding he went above and beyond, including creme brulee, chocolate covered strawberries, and other treats in addition to our fruit tarts! I sadly didn’t even get to try everything because it was all gobbled up so quickly by our guests, but that just goes to show how delicious everything must have been. Our guests were still raving about the desserts for days after the wedding!

We hired Alfred for the second time, the first time for our wedding and this time for our gender reveal party. My wife and I enjoyed our wedding cake so much that we had to have Alfred create our gender reveal cake.

Alfred was easy to work, always prompt in replying to our messages and delivered on time for our party and was able to lend us a cake stand to display our cake for our party. The cake was exactly what we pictured it to be and our guests loved the way the cake looked and taste and we couldn’t agree more!!

We contacted Alfred with less than a month from our wedding date and he was able to pull it off for us and it was amazing. Everyone LOVED the cream puffs. We ordered chocolate, vanilla and lilikoi. They looked and tasted amazing. The cake topped it all off. We ordered a two tier with topper and flowers and I left the design up to Alfred and we couldn’t have been happier with the result. Thank you Alfred for the hard work in preparing and for delivering to our party ahead of time!
